Re-United, and It Feels So Good
My friends are back. Spring in Monterey brings the arrival of the blooms of beautiful majestic purple flowering plants called Pride of Madeira, along with two other striking purple blooms, the California lilac and Wisteria.
Having lived here over 10 years, I know where my friends live. I’m now accustomed to making visits to their neighborhoods to reconnect with my friends— walking, driving, riding bike to call in regularly on these beautiful flower beings in the places where they live.
I check in with them to see how their flourishing is progressing, how they're showing up today, what’s happening with the bees in their neck of the woods, deepening our connection year by year. In my recent viewing of the conversation that Marianne had with Jenn, I smiled, inspired by the relationship with the beings of the natural world that the three of us value so deeply.
For many of us, right now is a time of re-connection. With the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine, I’m hearing in classes and reading in posts in our online community about joyous reconnections with friends and loved ones that are beginning to be possible.
My heart feels happy seeing the joy that these reconnections bring. After all, this was one of the big shake-ups of 2020: finding our footing in how we can cultivate a sense of connection and belonging under new conditions and circumstances.
Creating connections, renewing and deepening these connections is crucial for feeling supported, sensing meaning and belonging that we so deeply need. I truly hope that, whether or not this has been a time of renewed in-person human connection, you have been supported by soul-to-soul connection, with the natural world, with connection with yourself and with spirit.
This is a particularly robust time at the Studio for refreshing ALL types of connection:
I’m delighted to offer a space for silence retreat and “Nourish & Flourish” to deeply connect inward, with your authentic self.
Marianne is honing in on connection with fellow human beings in “Evolutionary Conversations” and “Mindful Relating.”
We’re excited for the new session of “Cultivating Spirituality” that Jenn is offering, which is all about ritual and ceremony in connecting to spirit.
Connection with Earth and all her beings is celebrated at our “Earth Day Celebration,” Anne-Marie Brest’s upcoming poetry workshop, and Marianne’s “Being Outdoors” program.
We continue to be blessed and inspired by the relationships that we have together in this community, and we hope you’ll join us in finding support and connection in the offerings below.
