Radio ThruTopia is a sonic response to an inquiry; “How can we decolonize our listening to support envisioning a new world?” One approach we have taken is to provide a listening experience that expands beyond borders. Not merely geographic borders, but also borders designated by any demarcations used to separate us from each other and the living world.
Our second approach is a relatively new one for radio. We invite you to consider this station as a place for practicing, presencing, relating and healing. Each song and sound is another opportunity to listen, feel, and respond differently. Thrutopian futures inquire; “What new possibilities are becoming available because of the space listening to this song just opened up in me?”
Radio ThruTopia offers global, healing-liberatory music and sound to support your resilience and persistence. We're a sonic-commons, inviting you to experience listening differently - as a support for encountering and metabolizing current challenging realities and uncertain futures. We hope you’ll listen well and enjoy what you hear.
We hope you’ll listen well and enjoy what you hear. One Song. One Sound. One liberatory-healing listening practice at a time.
