Qigong by the Ocean & Guided Meditation at Carmel River State Beach begins with Qigong movements which are gentle and restorative for the body, and very easy to learn. Then we move into a guided sitting (or lying) meditation. 

These events are facilitated by Katie Dutcher, MA, practitioner of meditation and mindfulness since 2009, practitioner of qigong since 2011, and qualified instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Since she was a small child, Katie has been enthralled and inspired by the natural world.

NOTES:

  • Rain cancels— please check our Facebook page if it’s rainy the morning of the event.
  • The beach can be cold and windy: please wear layers and bring a blanket!
  • For sitting or lying meditation, please bring a towel/cushion/or chair.

MEETING PLACE:

Carmel River State Beach— off Scenic Rd. and Carmelo (Google maps can be confusing here, and it may help to enter “Carmel River Beach Trail” to get the correct route.) We'll meet on the beach!
