Being in nature invites you to engage your senses and come into contact with the natural world. Mindfulness meditation cultivates awareness of whatever is taking place within and around you: thoughts and emotions, the breeze, the sounds of birds, the warmth of the sun. Experience guided sitting meditation, mindful walking and informal discussion.
These events are facilitated by Katie Dutcher, MA, practitioner of meditation and mindfulness since 2009, and qualified instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Since she was a small child, Katie has been enthralled and inspired by the natural world.

- This is a free event in collaboration with the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District. While no fee is collected, participants are asked to register via the MPRPD website. Please print and bring the completed liability form.
- Please bring something to sit on, for example, a cushion, chair, blanket, or mat to sit or lie on.
- This will take place outdoors, so please consider dressing warmly and comfortably, or even bringing a blanket if the day is cold.
Palo Corona Regional Park in Carmel off Highway 1. The park is across from Ribera Rd. There is a gate which is normally closed, but on our monthly Saturdays, the gate will be open. You'll drive in (go past the "Do Not Enter" sign!) and keep driving for a minute or two. Pass the white barn on the right, then park in the parking lot on the left, and meet at the barn.
