Tending to Yourself with Self-Compassion

Without noticing it, we can tend to spend much of our life in self-judgment, “shoulds,”and worries about whether we are doing enough, whether we’re performing well enough—whether we are enough. Many of us manifest a wonderful quality of caring for those around us… and in the process, we may not show care for ourselves in the same way.

In this course, we will re-awaken our sense of esteem and appreciation for ourselves and begin to place value on incorporating elements of rest, nourishment, well-being, wonder, and play into our daily lives.

In this course:

  • We’ll learn the about the elements of self-compassion: mindfulness, kindness to self, and common humanity.

  • We’ll practice noticing our needs and finding ways to meet them.

  • We’ll discover and share ways of nourishing and caring for ourselves— both big and small.

  • We’ll notice and work with our resistance to self-compassion and self-care.
