With the winter and the cooler weather, the inclination may come to slow down, to take a rest, to recharge. These words might sound tempting, even decadent…they might sound impossible...they might sound frightening! It is quite certain that rest is one of our “essentials,” just like food, water, and shelter. Why is it, then, that resting can feel optional, or be difficult to fit into our lives?
In this two-part module, we’ll allow ourselves to settle in and rest, and we’ll explore giving ourselves permission to rest regularly. We’ll share what gets in the way of slowing down, and lend support in finding ways to offer ourselves nourishment and restoration.
